Testing and Tagging/RCD Testing

There is a legal responsibility to inspect and test portable appliances regularly.   The frequency of these tests, more commonly referred to as ‘tagging and testing of portable appliances’, is dependant on many factors and set out in the Australian/New Zealand standard AS/NZS 3760.    Residual Current Devices (RCD’s) are also subject to ‘tagging and testing’ and have their own test interval requirements.

Sparkies Electrical Contractors P/L will ensure that your electrical appliances are inspected and tested in line with current legislation and within the specified time limits.  We will provide you with a schedule of test results and we will send you a reminder when your appliances are due for re-test.  You will have complete peace of mind in the knowledge that your portable appliance/RCD testing requirements are being met on time all of the time.  Should any of your appliances fail the visual inspection or any tests, our skilled electricians are able to repair the majority of faults at the time and the re-test is free.  

Emergency Lighting Tests

Sparkies undertake all necessary Emergency Light Testing in accordance with AS/NZS 2293:2:1995 – Emergency evacuation lighting for buildings – Inspection and Maintenance.  We are able to conduct the 6 monthly and 12 monthly tests and update all log books as necessary on completion.
